Nursing Entrance Test (NET)
The NET is required of all students entering WVC's Nursing Program. The NET has been demonstrated to be a good diagnostic indicator of a prospective student's aptitude for success in a nursing program. It also can be a very useful tool for students, instructors and administrators. For students, the NET identifies strengths and weaknesses that can be useful in academic planning.

Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS®)
After June of 2010, the NET® test will no longer be used.
Beginning July of 2010, applicants for the Nursing program at Wenatchee Valley College will be required to take the TEAS®V. The TEAS® V is a multiple-choice assessment of basic academic knowledge in reading, mathematics, science and English and language usage. The objectives assessed on the TEAS® exam are those which nurse educators deemed most appropriate and relevant to measure entry level skills and abilities of nursing program applicants. The test time limit is 209 minutes. There are 170 total questions.
Composite scores, as well as several sub-scores, are computed in each of the four content areas to assess specific content comprehension, reading, mathematics, science, and English language usage.
