Wenatchee Valley College at Omak parking lot will be rockin' on March 12, 2009, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Students, community members and friends of the college are all invited to this family-friendly event. Come listen to music, enjoy the food, and have some fun. Donations may be made at the event for Omak campus programs. The campus is located at 116 W. Apple Ave. Additional parking for the public is available at the United Methodist Church, N. Cedar and W. Bartlett, Omak.
"We believe our college is important to our communities for education, makes an important contribution to our local economies, and is an essential provider of nurses. We have broadened the focus of this event to help all the programs on the Omak campus, including the nursing program," said Michelle Price, a student in a business ethics class who is helping to organize the event as a group project on social change. Price is managing the activity with student team members Patrick Perkins and Renee Davis.
