WVC students,

As you’ve heard, many big changes are coming your way Feb. 22. Here are the two biggest things you need to know about the changes.

1. MyWVC portal is going away

The current MyWVC student portal is being replaced by the new MyWVC 2.0 portal. This will be an updated, easy to use portal with everything you need to register for classes, manage your schedule, access financial aid information, access academic records and much more.

This new portal becomes available to all students on Feb. 22. You’ll register for your student ctcLink account then to gain access to MyWVC 2.0.

2. You’re getting a NEW student ID (and you’ll need it to register for classes next quarter)

Speaking of which, when you activate for your new student account on Feb. 22, you will receive a new student ID to replace your current nine-digit ID (starting with 905).

You will need this ID to register for spring quarter classes, so we recommend creating your new ctcLink account as soon as possible after it becomes available on Feb. 22.

Feeling overwhelmed? Don’t panic.

Don’t worry, there are plenty of resources to help guide you through this change.

  • - Our new ctcLink webpage has everything you need to know to make the change to MyWVC 2.0 and get your new ID
  • Live Chat - need help from a real person (and a tiny green robot)? Click on Otto the green robot in the bottom right-hand corner of the website to get connected to a real person to help troubleshoot problems and answer questions.
  • Student IT resources - have an IT problem? Start here.

Good Morning Students and Advisors,

I am emailing you to update the KEY dates related to spring quarter and ctcLink.

  • January 28:  Cutoff date to process any registration or course change forms.
  • January 29: Student services (admissions/registration, financial aid, educational planning and testing, …) will offer only limited services to prepare for ctcLink
  • February 1:  Last day for students to receive 50% tuition refund. (Upon requests, we will backdate the transactions in ctcLink, and correctly issue the appropriate refund.)
  • February 10: Faculty and staff advisors get access to ctcLink
  • February 11: Advising for Continuing/Former Students (No Day Classes)
  • February 15: Presidents’ Day (Holiday) (No Classes)
  • February 22: ctcLink goes live for students!
  • February 24: Last Day to Withdraw or Change to Audit

Good Morning Students and Advisors,
One of the big changes with the implementation of ctcLink will be the MyWVC student portal.  ctcLink contains most, if not more information for class schedules, student records, and progress.  With this new platform, the old platform will no longer receive updated information.  Therefore, we are replacing it with a new student portal.
The new Student Portal will become MyWVC 2.0.  Check it out.  BTW, some of the tiles will be changing over the next month as we refine the portal.  The ctcLink tile will be made available when the system is delivered to students on Feb. 22. 2021.  Advisors will get access on Feb. 11, 2021.
There is also a student portal app for your phone.  If you go to the iOS app store or Google Play, search for ctcLink.   Once you have installed the app on your phone, you will need to open it and select Wenatchee Valley College as your college.  Then you will have all the MyWVC 2.0 shortcuts available on your device.
I would also like to remind you of the key date changes over the next few weeks.

  • January 28th:  Cutoff date to process any registration or course change forms.
  • February 1st:  Last day for students to receive 50% tuition refund. (Based upon date of requests, we will be able to backdate the transactions in ctcLink, and correctly issue the appropriate refund, if needed.)
  • Feb. 11: Advising for Continuing/Former Students (No Day Classes)
  • Feb. 15: Presidents’ Day (Holiday) (No Classes)
  • Feb. 24: Last Day to Withdraw or Change to Audit

Questions?: Email Support availability is limited, but we will do our best to respond!

Hello Students,

Wenatchee Valley College will move to a new system for student data, registration, and self-service called ctcLink starting on February 22, 2021. Please watch your email as more information will be provided as the launch date nears.

What are the benefits of ctcLink to me as a student?

The move to ctcLink will help you better manage your entire college experience. Using the new online student center, you'll be able to do the following 24/7 from your mobile device, laptop, or home computer:

  • View or update your student information and manage personal contact info.
  • Register for classes, add and drop.
  • Pay tuition and fees and handle financial aid processes.
  • View grades, track academic goals, and apply for graduation.
  • Register for specific courses that apply to the remaining program requirements.
  • Contact your instructors or advisor.

If you are a current student, you will be assigned a new ID number in February 2021—a ctcLink ID—and, after launch, all new incoming students will receive a ctcLink ID. With this new ID, you will have one login to access ctcLink and Canvas.

If you transfer in from or out to another community or technical college in Washington state, you will be able to use that same ID to access your information, which will follow you.

Should you have any concerns, please email

This journey begins on Feb. 22.
