Anya Belcher is the head women's soccer coach for Wenatchee Valley College. She is a native of the Wenatchee Valley. She is the daughter of Coach Dennis Tronson who coaches at Cashmere High Girls Soccer and Wenatchee High Boys Soccer. Coach Belcher came back to the Wenatchee Valley after because she wanted to see Wenatchee Valley College Women's Soccer reach its potential and be a place where student-athletes will excel in life, in the classroom and on the pitch.

At Cashmere High School and in the valley, Anya was a four-time team captain of the varsity soccer team along with a captain for the Apple Valley Zephyr, one of the first Premier Soccer teams in the valley. She also was a part of the WA-EAST Olympic Development Program. At Cashmere she was also a three-sport athlete. Anya received the Central Washington Player of the Year Award both junior and senior years.  Upon graduation, Anya attended Biola University, in Los Angeles, to play both soccer and track and field. She has competed at the national level in both sports. As a center back and captain of the women's soccer team, she led the team to their First National NAIA Soccer Tournament appearance in 2004. She also competed at the National NAIA Track and Field meet in the Javelin, taking 15th in the Nation, in 2004.

Anya graduated with a B.S. in physical education and earned a Teaching Credential from Biola University, and a M.S. in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton. After graduating, Anya taught weightlifting classes at Biola University, while simultaneously serving as the assistant women's soccer coach from 2005-2009. While in California, she coached a U-14 Girls Soccer Club Team: AC BREA, Brea, CA.  Anya is the creator of the InSTEP Program for AC BREA, Brea CA.Anya also served as the assistant women's soccer coach for Northwest University (Kirkland, Wash.) from 2011-2013.  Anya helped the team to two Conference Championship games and one Conference Championship.

Anya came to Wenatchee Valley College after being involved with Competitive Athlete Training Zone –CATZ since the summer of 2005.   CATZ is a Sports performance facility where Anya was the director of CATZ Seattle at Starfire. She has trained and prepared athletes, kids, and adults for any type of activity they wish to participate in. Anya's list of clients include Misty May-Treanor (3x Beach Volleyball Olympic Gold Medalist), 2008 Beijing Olympic Gold Medalist Men's Indoor Volleyball Team, and top AVP players April Ross and Jen Boss.

Anya has a passion for others to succeed and enjoys coaching people to achieve their goals and dreams.  She loves to workout and have fun! In Anya's spare time she loves to hang out with her new husband David Belcher, who is her biggest fan as she is his. David her husband brings a winning attitude to their relationship and to the program because of his background and life experience. David is a veteran who has served in the infantry for the last 10 years as an Army Airborne Ranger, plus he was a DI Football Player. So there is no doubt that the Belcher household likes to work hard and get after life. Coach Belcher loves to go ballroom dancing with David, and they enjoy everything the Wenatchee Valley has to offer indoors and outdoors.

Coach Belcher has kept her competitive edge by training and competing in three Ironman Triathlons so far. Coach Belcher has high expectations for the Wenatchee Valley College Women's Soccer program, just like she has high expectations for herself. She knows she can bring out the best in her athletes, she doesn't need the best player, all she wants are athletes.

"I don't look just for the best players, I look for the players who are dedicated, have desire and want to have fun," said coach Anya Belcher.
