Overview
Wenatchee Valley College Information Technology (IT) provides technology support for students at both the Wenatchee and Omak campuses.

Access to WVC's Electronic Resources
As a student at WVC, you will have access to many different computer resources using different sets of credentials. Please remember to keep your credentials private. Your information security is important.
Your personal set of credentials will provide you access to the following resources:
- Classroom and lab computers
- Wi-fi
- Virtual desktop
- MyWVC Portal
- Library databases and Primo Library Catalog
- Xerox machines
Your username is the first initial of your first name, your full last name, and the last four digits of your SID (Example: JSmith1234). Your password is the same as your WVC student email password.

You will use ctcLink for registration, admissions, financial aid, paying for classes, and more.
Student Email
All WVC students are provided with a WVC student email account.

Canvas
Canvas is the learning management tool used by most faculty, regardless of course format, to communicate and provide you with access to important course information.
Distance Learning
Online learning can be a bit of a transition. Find useful links and information about equipment you will need to support your learning.
Printing From Personal Devices
Students can print from personal devices to virtual printers on campus.

Classroom Phones
Classroom phones are for emergency and support use only.
- Dial 911 to get emergency services.
- Dial 6550 to reach the helpdesk for technical assistance.
- Dial 6911 to reach WVC Security
- Classroom phones do not have access to outside lines.
Acceptable Use Policy
Please follow these guidelines when accessing WVC Technology resources:
- The WVC network (wireless and wired) and network devices are intended for educational, class, and work related use only.
- The storage of files on the local hard drive of any device is not permitted. Any files saved to the local hard drive will be deleted overnight.
- Food and drink are not allowed in classrooms or labs with computers in them.
- Refer to the WVC Computer Lab Policy below for more information on acceptable use of WVC computing facilities.
Section 700.200 of the college policies states:
WVC’s technology department strives to provide security and privacy in all electronic transactions. However, no electronic or physical system can be 100% guaranteed for privacy and security. In addition, WVC reserves the right to monitor any and all electronic messages and transactions that travel on or through its Local Area Networks for the following purposes:
- Troubleshooting of hardware, software and technology services.
- Monitoring compliance to these policies.
- Gathering data on Quality of Service and other measures for assessing technology infrastructure.
