Today, Wenatchee Valley College (WVC) launched a redesigned website at wvc.edu that reflects how today’s students and community members engage with information online.
The new website reflects input from students, faculty, and staff from both campuses, and will replace the college’s 10-year-old legacy site. This redesign prioritizes the student experience, accessibility, and clear navigation with a modern look and feel. The college’s goal is to help visitors quickly find the information and resources they need.
This has been a college-wide effort led by the WVC Public Information Office over the past academic year. Community input has informed the website’s redesign, and nearly 100 students from both campuses participated in a survey designed by WVC students. Their feedback and recommendations have been central to this work and will continue to shape future improvements.
“Our website is one of the most powerful tools we have for connecting with students and our community,” Executive Director of Communications Marcine Miller said. “Our goal is to strengthen that connection and to shine a light on the incredible work that happens on both of our campuses every single day.”
The redesign's key enhancements include improved navigation; a refreshed design; updated content with a focus on accessibility standards and the user experience; a built-in Spanish translation tool; and a mobile-friendly site.
The project, in partnership with Modern Campus, incorporated web design research, best practices, a student survey, and focus groups to ensure the site serves the needs of diverse audiences.
WVC will continue refining content on the website and working with faculty and staff to make improvements over time.
