Spring Concert

You're Invited to the Spring Piatigorsky Concert on April 8!

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation will host a free Piatigorsky Foundation concert featuring award winning mezzo-soprano Katherine Calcamuggio Donner and pianist Gabriel Evens on Tuesday, April 8 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at The Grove Recital Hall, located in the Music and Art Center (MAC) on the WVC Wenatchee campus.

This event is free and open to the public thanks to the generosity of the Woods family. A wine reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. and the concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. Seating is first come, first served.

Calcamuggio has been featured in important role and company debuts across the United States, eliciting praise for her “soaring, rich voice” (The Miami Herald), “polished musical and dramatic characterizations” (Kurt Weill Newsletter), “fine coloratura technique” (Philadelphia Inquirer) and being “endearingly funny” (KDHX St. Louis).

Evens is the Associate Professor of Jazz Piano, Composition and Arranging at the University of Louisville, Jazz Studies Program.  He has performed throughout the United States and in Malaysia, Singapore, Spain, and France.

The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation hosts the Piatigorsky Foundation for concerts twice a year. The concert series is made possible by the Woods family.
