Wenatchee Valley College (WVC) is committed to providing equal opportunity and participation for students with disabilities in all college activities and programs. WVC ensures reasonable accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act, and Washington State laws. Moreover, we recognize disability as a valued part of diversity on our campuses!

As part of Student Affairs, Student Access Services (SAS) has been designated by the college [400.080] as the primary office to assist students with disabilities. We provide individualized accommodation services to qualified WVC students in Wenatchee, Omak, and online.

Who We Serve

SAS supports all WVC students registered with our office including students at our Wenatchee campus, Omak campus, and students attending online.

Disabilities are varied. Students may have conditions that are continuous, episodic, or temporary.

Some disabilities include, but are not limited to learning disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, mental health disabilities, blind/low vision, deaf/hard of hearing, speech/language disabilities, physical and mobility disabilities, medical conditions, and brain injury.

It's important to know accommodations cannot be applied retroactively. Plan ahead and connect with SAS early to establish accommodations before you need them!

Getting Started - Applying and Documentation

For information about our application process, accommodations, and the documentation we request, explore the Process For Securing Documentation part of our webpage. All WVC students go through the same processes, regardless of location and affiliations.

Get Started - Requesting Accommodations

High School vs. College Accommodations  (coming soon)

Running Start or concurrent enrollment students go through the same accommodations processes as any other WVC student. IEPS and 504 plans do not transfer automatically. The transition from high school to college accommodations can be hard to understand at times. This webpage is ideal for Running Start students, parents, advocates, recent high school graduates, or anyone wanting to learn more about the differences.

This section is under construction. While you wait, check out this handout explaining the differences between high school and college accommodations

Faculty Resources

Student Access Services aren't just here to support students. Our staff are here to help you implement accommodations and navigate concerns. Our Faculty Resources page is growing. Check back to learn more about our processes for granting accommodations, the accommodations we offer, what to do if you believe an accommodation cannot be met, and more!
