The Piatigorsky Foundation’s fall concert is set to take the stage Tuesday, October 6, at the Grove Recital Hall in the Music and Arts Center (MAC) at Wenatchee Valley College.
A wine reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. followed by the free concert at 6:30 p.m. This is a free event and is open to the public. Seating will be first come, first served. The Piatigorsky concert is made possible by the generosity of the Woods Family.
"It is a joy to feature world-class musicians at a world-class recital hall like The Grove," said WVC Foundation executive director Clint Strand. "This unforgettable evening is made possible by the generosity of the Woods family, and we couldn't be more grateful."
The concert will feature Qing Li, a violinist who is a soloist, orchestral leader, chamber musician, and educator. She is the principal second violinist for the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra and guest principal second violinist for the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Li has performed with many orchestras during her time as is also the Professor of Violin at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University.
Pianist, Min Young Park will be performing alongside Qing Li. Coming from performances in Carnegie Hall and the Royal Irish Academy of Music. Park’s performances have taken her around the world. Park took her abilities to Seoul National University and The Julliard School and has now joined the faculty at Peabody Preparatory.
