Register for Transitional Studies

We're glad that you are interested in continuing your education at WVC! We are currently enrolling for the Fall quarter and look forward to working with you.

To get started, complete the following steps:

Step 1: Complete the Course Request Form

  1. Online or over the phone:
    1. Fill out 2026-2027 Course Request Form.
    2. If you have questions, call Transitional Studies at (509) 682-6790 to complete your application.
    3. Please leave a voicemail if you can’t reach us, and we will return your call.

Step 2: Submit the LACES Student Intake Form

  1. Fill out the LACES intake form. This form is used to see how well our department is serving different types of students, which helps us secure funding to keep costs low.

Step 3: ONLY FOR HS+ STUDENTS- Email your High School transcript(s) to us

  1. While a high school transcript is not required to participate in HS+, it is encouraged that you submit one if you believe you've earned any prior credits. Email a copy of your unofficial high school transcript to transition@wvc.edu.

Step 4: Contact our offices for an orientation

  1. After you have completed all these steps, please contact our Transitional Studies office to schedule your orientation. All new and former students are required to attend one.
  2. For ESL Students Only- Please call our Wenatchee offices at 509-682-6790 to sign up for an in-person orientation before registering for classes. Please see orientations dates and times below. You only are required to attend one.
    1. Tuesday, August 18th 10 am-12pm
    2. Tuesday, August 18th, 6pm-8pm
    3. Thursday, August 20th, 10 am-12pm
    4. Thursday, August 20th, 6pm-8pm
  3. For HS+ Students Only- Please call the respective office to schedule an appointment. HS+ orientations are offered throughout most of the quarter and are scheduled individually.
    1. In-person at Wenatchee campus
      1. Appointments are available. Please call 509-682-6790 or email us at transition@wvc.edu if you would like to set up an appointment.
      2. Visit our office Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm. We are located on the first floor of Mish ee twie building, room 1118.
    2. In-person at Omak campus
      1. Appointments are available. Please call 509-422-7958 if you would like to set up an appointment.
      2. Visit our office Tuesday and Thursday, Hazel Allen Burnett Building, room 410.
    3. In-person at Nespelem
      1. Appointment only. Please call 509-634-2780 if you would like to set up an appointment.
    4. In-person at SkillSource
      1. Appointments are available. Please call 509-663-3091 if you would like to set up an appointment.

Important notes:

  1. To enroll in ABE classes with WVC Transitional Studies, an individual must be 18 years of age and their high school graduating class must have already exited the high school.
    • For students 16-18 years old: 
      • Students aged 16-18 years old must be released from the K-12 school district in which he or she is registered or should be registered if their graduating class has not yet exited the high school.  
      • Contact the school district for a release form or use this Approval Form provided by SBCTC.
  2. Students with the following visas cannot enroll in Transitional Studies ABE Courses:  F-1, M-1, and J-1
  3. Tuition and fees for WVC Transitional Studies ABE classes are $35 per student per quarter, regardless of how many classes you take during the quarter.

If you are a Current Student who would like to continue taking ABE classes next quarter, you can request enrollment using this form:

After the Information Session, remember to fill out these two forms to complete your request:

  1. ABE Course Request form for New and Former Students
  2. LACES Student Intake Data form

 

If you are a student from the Omak Campus area who would like to request enrollment for ABE classes for the upcoming quarter:

Remember to also fill out the LACES Student Intake Data Form

Students are required to submit this form once each year.

For New Students requesting the High School+ Diploma Program: If you have previous high school credits, please have your transcripts sent to transition@wvc.edu
