Omak Foundation Scholarships

WVC at Omak Foundation awards spring scholarships


The Wenatchee Valley College at Omak Foundation awarded nine scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 each to students this spring.

Briety Koler of Tonasket received the largest award, a $1,000 Winifred Voelckers Faculty Scholarship. This annual scholarship is sponsored by ten Omak faculty members who donate to the fund each year in honor of former dean and present Omak Foundation executive board member Winifred Voelckers.

The following students received scholarships worth $500 each: Kelsie Cunningham, Okanogan; Toma Donceel, Tonasket; Debbie Shibley, Okanogan; Kelley Ralston, Malott; Erandi Orozco, Brewster; Lauralei Seiber, Tonasket; Richard Moses, Okanogan; and Summer Baker, Okanogan.

The Omak Foundation would like to thank the donors for their support over the past year. Special thanks to the Okanogan Regional Home Health and Hospice Fund, the Stan Berg Fund, Franklin Allen Fund and the Nurses for Tomorrow-Omak Fund for supporting the $500 scholarships.
