The Wenatchee Valley College Alumni Association is accepting nominations for the 2015 WVC Distinguished Alumni Award. Nomination forms must be submitted and/or postmarked by March 15.

The purpose of the WVC Distinguished Alumni Award is to recognize an alumnus who has distinguished him or herself in his/her chosen professional field; made significant contributions to his or her community on a local, state, national or international level; and has demonstrated integrity in his/her personal life and gained the respect of his/her peers. A group may also be considered for the award, but all members must be alumni.

The award dates back over 30 years, with recent recipients including Lori Van Lith, CMA (2012); Juan Esparza, Ruth Esparza, Elsa Esparza and Claudia Valdez (2011); Ronald L. Adolphi, Ph.D. (2010); Marian Williams (2009) and Mike Dempsey (2008).

WVC's 2014 Distinguished Alumni recipient, Jerry Kenoyer, said, "Wenatchee Valley College remains a very valuable asset to the Wenatchee and Okanogan valleys." Kenoyer was presented his award at the college's 75th anniversary celebration last October. He recently retired as the manager for Blue Star Growers.
