New Student Orientations

WVC new student orientations at Wenatchee and Omak campuses

Students entering their first year at Wenatchee Valley College are invited to attend student orientations at the Wenatchee and Omak campuses.

The Wenatchee campus orientation sessions, "O" at WVC, will be Monday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 5:30 to 8 p.m. in Smith Gym. The Omak new student orientation sessions will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. or 1 p.m.

Students attending "O" at WVC will learn how to access their student accounts, find their classrooms, manage their financial aid, take online courses, plan for a future career, and obtain their student ID card. Other opportunities include learning math survival skills, time management strategies, successful study habits and tips to a successful graduation. Information about WVC degrees and programs will be offered, as well as how to transfer to a four-year college or university. Light refreshments will be available.

WVC students are allowed to bring up to one guest to orientation. Students attending "O" at WVC should e-mail their full name, student ID number, and whether or not they are bringing a guest to Chano Rodriguez at crodriguez@wvc.edu, or call 509.682.6860. Those needing special accommodations for orientation should contact Carla Boyd, WVC Special Population Coordinator, at 509.682.6854 or e-mail cboyd@wvc.edu.

Students attending the Omak new student orientation will meet in room 301 on the Omak campus. Students will have the opportunity rotate through breakout sessions about financial aid, using the student kiosk and learning college success tips. Lunch and musical performances will be provided between orientation sessions.
