Dr. Lawrence Pintak, founding dean of The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University, will speak at a second Wenatchee venue on Thursday, April 9. The public is invited to a lecture with the dean at Wenatchee Valley College from 3 to 4 p.m. in The Grove Recital Hall, Music and Art Center.

Pintak will share his experiences as a former war correspondent. He worked as a CBS News Middle East correspondent and reported on stories such as the development of modern suicide bombing and the Iran-Iraq war. He later served as the director of the Kamal Adham Center for Journalism Training and Research at The American University in Cairo.

Pintak now writes and lectures on the relationship between the Muslim world and the U.S., the role of media in shaping global perceptions and government policy, and the future of journalism in a digital, globalized world.
