THIRTYFINGERS performs at WVC Oct. 16

As part of Wenatchee Valley College's 75th anniversary celebration, the WVC Foundation will host THIRTYFINGERS Piano Trio in concert at The Grove Recital Hall, Music and Art Center, on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. This performance is free and open to the public.

Donations are encouraged and will be directed to a 75th Anniversary Scholarship Fund. In honor of the college's 75th anniversary, the WVC Foundation has set a goal to raise $75,000 to provide 75 new $1,000 scholarships for the 2015-16 academic year. The Foundation currently provides $175,000 to $200,000 in student scholarships annually.

THIRTYFINGERS is six hands, three women and one piano. The group is composed of internationally acclaimed pianists Natalya Ageyeva, Lisa Bergman and Deborah Dewey, who combine their talents to play elegant classical music written for six hands. The group amazes with their keyboard mastery, virtuosity, deep musicality and sparkling personalities.

Ageyeva has performed throughout the U.S. and internationally, including Italy, Austria and Israel, as well as a tour in her native Russia. Her performance venues have included the Governor's Mansion in Olympia, Carnegie Hall in New York, Benaroya Hall in Seattle and the Rachmaninoff Hall in Moscow. Her performances have been broadcast several times on KING-FM in Seattle and televised in Moscow and Chicago.

Bergman is a the founder and artistic director of the Mostly Nordic Chamber Music Series in Seattle; the executive director of Northwest Opera in Schools, Etcetera and formerly of the Icicle Creek Center for the Arts. She is a national Gracie Award-winning radio announcer on Classic KING-FM. She has performed in Europe, the U.S. and the Pacific Rim, and made her Carnegie Recital Hall debut in 1983.

Dewey has appeared as guest soloist with the Oakland, Flint and Spokane symphonies, among many others, and at chamber music festivals throughout Washington state. She was a prizewinner in numerous piano competitions and an honor graduate of both Wellesley College and the Yale School of Music. Her most recent performances have included Mexico, London and Hawaii.

In addition to the concert, light snacks and beverages will be available from 5 to 6 p.m. The MAC Gallery will also be open so that guests can enjoy the current installation.
