Wenatchee Valley College, which is represented in the Regional Bicycle Advisory Committee, will be participating in Ride Your Bike to Work Week May 15-19. WVC students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to win prizes for participating.

Prize tickets will be placed on bicycles on campus throughout the week. The tickets will be used in a raffle for bicycle safety prizes. WVC students, faculty and staff will receive an email Monday, May 22, with the winning numbers and instructions for picking up prizes.

On Friday, May 19, from 7 to 9 a.m., there will be a commuter station on Fifth Street in front of Wenatchi Hall where bicyclists will receive a snack (such as a PowerBar, banana, etc.). This event is sponsored by the Associated Students of WVC student government.

Also on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., a bike mechanic from Arlberg Sports will provide free bike repairs at Van Tassell Center.
