Sophia Hamilton Commits to WVC Women's Basketball

The Knights would like to welcome Sophia Hamilton from West Valley High School in Spokane, WA. Sophia transferred from Klamath Falls, OR to West Valley for her senior year. She made a tremendous impact on the program in one year. While at West Valley, Hamilton averaged 5.5 points, and 3.2 rebounds. Her team voted her as most inspirational player three times.  She was also recognized for her outstanding defense. Her success is not limited to the basketball court. Hamilton was All Academic five times, most outstanding student for earning a 4.0, and received the Eye of the Panther award for good grades, being a role model, and tutoring other students. With her outstanding 3.8 GPA, Sophia plans on receiving her AA and then pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy. In her spare time Sophie enjoys reading, swimming, fishing, camping, and baking. She chose WVC because “everyone has the common goal to win,” and being able to continue playing the sport she loves is a blessing. We are extremely excited to have her in our program. Go Knights!
