The Associated Students of Wenatchee Valley College at Omak are sponsoring the 12th annual community benefit show Jammin’ Against Hunger 2017 on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Okanogan Grange Hall located at 305 Tyee Street in Okanogan, Wash. Admission to attend this drug- and alcohol-free event is five cans of non-perishable unexpired food items per person. The event typically raises between one to two tons of food for local organizations during this critical time of year.

This year the music will be performed by The Olson Bros Band. The Olson Bros Band burst onto the country music scene in 2013 winning the Lake Fair Battle of the Bands and a national country songwriting contest with their song Sunrise which earned them a trip to Nashville where they were introduced at The Grand Ol' Opry. The band originated in Olympia, Wash. and is led by singer/songwriters Luke and Isaac Olson. They are known for their tight brotherly harmonies and the fun energetic vibe they bring to their live show. They are currently playing shows all over the Northwest and Nashville. They have also performed at the Okanogan County Fair in the past and were well received.

Brothers Isaac and Luke Olson started the group out as a duo playing guitar and writing music together beginning in 2011. Things really began to take off for the band in 2013. With the addition of Milo Mullins on the bass and Seth Bowman on the drums, the band began playing live shows. The Olson Bros enjoy writing songs that are true to themselves, make people want to dance, cry, smile and just have a good time. They have had the opportunity to open for some big time acts including Craig Morgan, Justin Moore, Sammy Kershaw, High Valley and Adam Craig.
