Knight at the Olympics brings Olympic athlete and WVC alumna to campus Feb. 8

Olympic freeskier and WVC alumna Amy Sheehan will talk about dreaming big, perseverance and giving our best at the Knight at the Olympics event on Feb. 8. The presentation will be from 7-9 p.m. in the Jack and Edna Maguire Student Recreation Center.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the presentation will be followed by a meet and greet with a catered taco bar. This event is sponsored by ASWVC Senate and the WVC Foundation.
Amy Sheehan, who goes by “Skier Amy,” is an Australian Olympic freeskier and XGames athlete. She competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, in women's halfpipe and was the 3rd overall World Cup Champion in 2014. In addition to skiing, Sheehan is an illustrator and has created and illustrated children’s books and is working on comic books. She currently lives in the Pacific Northwest and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education.
