The community is invited to support Wenatchee Valley College Knight Athletics at the Athletics Hall of Fame induction and Follow Your Dreams Scholarship Auction.
This event will take place on Friday, Jan. 31 at the Jack and Edna Maguire Student Recreation Center on the Wenatchee campus, beginning at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour and silent auction.
Hall of Fame inductees this year include Karissa Martin (Harle), who played women’s basketball from 1999-2001, the NWAACC Champion 1971 Football team, and longtime WVC athletics supporter Dalton Thomas, whose support has funded many facilities upgrades. Thomas’ contributions include renovations to the racquetball courts and the baseball field, both of which are named after his father, Paul Thomas Sr., whose donations also supported WVC athletics.
The evening will include live and silent auctions, inductions and a catered meal. There will be many items being auctioned off, including autographed memorabilia. Proceeds from this event, including tickets and auction sales, will support WVC athletic teams and scholarships.
Tickets are $75 per person. A table of eight people is $500. Dinner and drinks are included with tickets. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Kyle Vierck, WVC athletic director, at kvierck@wvc.edu or (509) 682-6771. Tickets can also be purchased at wvcfoundation.schoolauction.net/athletics.
