The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation has received a grant of $20,000 from the Names Family Foundation to support student athletes.
The Names Family Foundation was established in 1996 by Scott and Sis Names who shared a passion for philanthropy and a deep interest in health and fitness. Beth Dobbs is the granddaughter of Scott & Sis Names.
"The Names Family Foundation and Dennis and I are so pleased to be able to give back to the community in which we live. It's a great honor that we are able to share with those that are striving to better themselves," Beth Dobbs said.
The grant will be used to support student athletes attending WVC. The WVC Foundation recently received support from both the Names Family Foundation and Beth & Dennis Dobbs for the renovation of the Smith Gym locker rooms. The Dobbs’ were also a major contributor of the Smith Gym floor remodel in 2016.
