Wenatchee Valley College Foundation announces 2023 board of directors
The Wenatchee Valley College Foundation Board of Directors has selected its officers for 2023-2024:
- President: Joshua Wood. Wood has served on the foundation board since 2019 and held a variety of leadership roles, including vice president and scholarship committee chair.
- Vice President: Jorden Jessup. Jessup has served on the foundation board since 2020 and also serves as the development committee chair.
- Secretary/Treasurer: Jennifer Babcock. Babcock has served on the foundation board since 2022. As treasurer, she also serves as the budget & finance committee chair.
“I would like to thank the outgoing board president, Don Gurnard, his years of service on the foundation board,” said Rachel Evey, foundation executive director. “Through his leadership, the foundation began its strategic planning process, welcomed our entire community to campus with the inaugural Food Truck Knight, and awarded a record number of scholarships.”
The board also welcomed a new board member, Jessica Gilmore. Gilmore currently works for AWS Academy after working for 25 years in public education.
“I am excited to join the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation board to support the mission of access and equity for all,” she said. “I can leverage my higher education background to make a difference for our community.”
The foundation board of directors will have 23 members in 2023-24: Brenda Alcala, Xavier Arinez, Jennifer Babcock, April Clayton, Kathy Coffman, Bianca Ebreo, Chelsea Ewer, Daryl Ferguson, Bárbara Guzmán, Beverly Jagla, Jorden Jessup, Barry Leahy, Ron Lodge, Bryce Mackay, Danielle Marchant, Lyle Markhart, Brett Peterson, Cathy Rixey, Steven Wilkinson, Joshua Wood, and WVC President Faimous Harrison (ex-officio member).
