An Occupation Exploration event focused on mental health will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 7, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Hazel Allen Burnett Hall on the Wenatchee Valley College at Omak campus. All students in grades 6-12 and college are welcome to attend this free event.

Space is limited, so registration for the event is required. Visit bit.ly/occupation-exploration to register.

Participants can explore career opportunities in mental health services such as behavioral health co-responder, ED mental health triage, licensed mental health provider, and psychologist positions.

The event will also provide an in-depth look at various mental health career pathways by examining several case examples of people in crisis and mental health struggles. Clinicians will discuss case examples similar to the work that they do and the people they work with. They will describe symptoms, management, diagnosis, treatment, their roles during treatment, and how they provide support. They will also discuss the education required for their roles.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the event.

This Occupation Exploration event is presented by North Central ESD, the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation, and Career Connect Washington.
