WVC names Dr. Jeff Bullock acting dean of math, science, and engineering
Dr. Jeff Bullock was named as the Wenatchee Valley College Acting Dean of Math, Science, and Engineering. His first day as acting dean was Oct. 10.
As acting dean, Bullock will be responsible for division leadership and supervision of department chairs, faculty, and staff, tenure committees, area plan reviews, faculty workload, tenure processes, professional development and hiring.
In addition to serving as acting dean, Bullock has been a full-time agriculture faculty member at WVC since 2018.
“My family has a long history with Wenatchee Valley College as my father was one of the founding members of the Omak campus,” Bullock said. “I’ve developed strong relationships with most of my colleagues, and I look forward to supporting their efforts so that collectively we can contribute to support student success.”
“Jeff is imminently qualified to support these programs,” wrote WVC Vice President of Instruction Dr. Tod Treat. “As a tenured faculty member in agriculture, Jeff brings a deep appreciation for the work faculty do each day in teaching, curriculum development, assessment, advising, and outreach. Jeff is committed to shared governance and will be an advocate for faculty voice.”
Bullock has a Bachelor of Science in chemistry, a Bachelor of Science in molecular biology, and a Master of Science in biochemistry from Western Washington University, as well as a Ph.D. in plant pathology from Washington State University.
Bullock is a temporary replacement for Holly Bringman, who has transitioned to North Central Educational Services as the Apple STEM coordinator.
