WVC Veterans Services presents A Salute to Our Veterans program on Nov. 6

Wenatchee Valley College Veterans Services is hosting A Salute to Our Veterans, a special Veterans Day program to honor those who have served and those who are continuing to serve, will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 3 to 4 p.m. in Van Tassell Center.  

The event will include a keynote presentation from a member of Veterans Affairs and will feature the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs Staff Sergeant Parker Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program. The program includes resources for community-based suicide prevention efforts to meet the needs of eligible veterans and their families through outreach, peer support, suicide prevention services, and connection to the VA and community resources. 

“This event is more than just a commemoration; it's a reminder of the incredible sacrifices made by those who have served and the ongoing needs of those who continue to serve,” said Dr. Diana Garza, vice president of Student Affairs. “With our focus on mental health resources through the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs’ initiatives, WVC remains committed to providing a space of respect, resources, and connection for veterans and their families.”
