WVC Foundation presents The Art of Music on March 25

Local musical groups and Wenatchee Valley College faculty and students will showcase their talents at the second annual The Art of Music, a musical extravaganza, art exhibit and silent auction, on Sunday, March 25, at the Performing Arts Center of Wenatchee.

The art exhibit and silent auction begin at 3 p.m. and the music performance begins at 4 p.m. with performances by Wenatchee Big Band, Wenatchee High School Chamber Singers and Mariachi Huenachi, and featuring special guests Dr. Randy Wagner, professor of voice and director of choral activities at Eastern Washington University, and Scott Miller, director of voice studies at Whitworth University.

A silent auction is included in the event, as well as the raffle of a gold and diamond music note pendant designed by Bruce Simpson, fine jeweler.

"In lieu of the annual dinner and auction, the concert will serve as our annual fundraiser," said Stacey Lockhart, executive director of the WVC Foundation. "One hundred percent of the proceeds will go toward support for student scholarships and programs at Wenatchee Valley College."

Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased at the box office, online at www.pacwen.org or by calling 509.663.ARTS (2787).

The Art of Music is presented by JetPro Auto Wash, and Wilfred and Kathy Woods. The event is sponsored by Wenatchee Valley Medical Center; Jeffers, Danielson, Sonn & Aylward; Seaport Airlines; Saddle Rock Pub and Brewery; and Bruce Simpson Fine Jeweler.
