The Wenatchee Valley College Chamber Choir will present the Almost Spring concert on Thursday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in The Grove Recital Hall, Music and Art Center, on the Wenatchee campus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is by donation. All proceeds will support the WVC Music Excellence Scholarship fund.

The concert will feature the premiere of "What I Really Want" (a song inspired by crayons), music from Gilbert and Sullivan's "The Pirates of Penzance," and music inspired by Martin Luther King Jr. The concert will also include works by Agee, Iwaasa, Debussy, Lennon and McCartney, and Fuentes.

The WVC Music Excellence Scholarship fund provides financial support to WVC students who plan to pursue a four-year degree in music performance. Private lessons cost WVC students approximately $300 a quarter in addition to their tuition and fees. The scholarship fund will help offset these expenses by assisting with the cost of private music lessons.
