Bruce Holbert will give a reading at Wenatchee Valley College at Omak on Wednesday, May 11, at 6 p.m. in Hazel Allen Burnett Hall. The reading is free and open to the public.

Holbert, Holbert, a descendent of early settlers, grew up in North-Central Washington. His deep knowledge of the region is captured in his critically acclaimed novels, Lonesome Animals and The Hour of Lead, which won the 2015 Washington State Book Award for Fiction. His newest book is Thank You, Teacher, a collection of essays by successful people about their most inspiring teachers. Holbert is a graduate of Eastern Washington University and the famous Iowa Writers Workshop. He lives near Spokane.
