Center for Art and Music Campaign

Center for Music and Art campaign kickoff set for June 9

The architectural drawings and location of the new Wenatchee Valley College Center for Music and Art will be revealed during a news conference announcing the public fundraising campaign for the building on Wednesday, June 9, at 8 a.m. in the Wells Hall Campus Theater. Community members are invited to join college faculty and staff members to learn details about the new center and the campaign.

The movement for a new arts and music center gained momentum in 2006 when the WVC Foundation bought the former Eagles property across from the college on Ninth Street. The college converted the building into temporary music and art space.

“The need for quality facilities for our music and art students became a priority, and from there, an incredible sequence of events began to occur,” said Dr. Jim Richardson, president of Wenatchee Valley College. “We’re excited to share those events and the plans for this facility, and what that will mean for our students and community.”
