Anthony BrownThe Wenatchee Valley College student government will present a Martin Luther King celebration event, A Conversation on Justice, on Thursday, Jan. 15, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Van Tassell Center student lounge on the Wenatchee campus. The event is free and open to the public.

The panel discussion takes place on the anniversary of Martin Luther King's birthday and will include international ambassador of peace Anthony Brown, in addition to WVC faculty and community members. The conversation will focus on the recent rise in racial tension in the U.S. as well as other issues of justice and oppression.

Brown is an American baritone singer who promotes peace and reconciliation through his music. His work has taken him to Africa, South America, Europe and Asia. He is also the director of the Peacing It Together Foundation.

Brown will also present "I Go On Singing," a music documentary of Paul Robeson's life in his words and songs, at 6 p.m. in The Grove Recital Hall, Music and Art Center. For more information, visit www.wvc.edu/75.
