Daria Winckler named Wenatchee Valley College volleyball coach

Wenatchee Valley College alumna Daria Winckler has been named the new WVC volleyball coach.

As a former Knights volleyball player, Winckler was a Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) Sophomore All-Star, East Region leader and East Region Co-MVP; a two-time All-American; and a 2010 AVCA First Team All-American.

She went on to play for two years on a full scholarship at Texas A&M International in Laredo, Texas. She received numerous awards, including the Texas A&M International University Athletic Director's Award for Outstanding Female Athlete and the Heartland Conference Commissioners Award for Academic Excellence. Winckler was also an NCAA Woman of the Year nominee.

Winckler joins the WVC Athletics Department highly recommended by the North Central Washington volleyball community.
