Knights fastpitch heading to NWAACC tournament with eighth straight East Region title

The Wenatchee Valley College Knights fastpitch team is heading to the 2013 Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges (NWAACC) Softball Championship after having earned their eighth straight NWAACC East Region title. The softball championships will be at the Owens Sports Complex at Delta Park in Portland, Oregon, from May 17 to 20.

The Knights have a 36-3 overall record and are ranked number one in the Alaska Airlines Softball Coaches Poll. Pitcher Hailey Bator, who recently signed a letter of intent to play for the University of Washington next season, is one of the leading pitchers in the NWAACC this season. Bator, Julia Rambo and Riliey Cullip have all been named Eastern Region Softball Players of the Week.

The Knights play their last game against Yakima on May 11.
