WVC Emergency Exercise

On Thursday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to noon, an emergency exercise will take place at Wenatchee Valley College near Smith Gym and Eller-Fox on the Wenatchee campus.

In this exercise, emergency personnel will practice triaging and stablizing medically fragile people.

WVC Allied Health students and staff are partnering with the Region 7 Healthcare Coalition (14 hospitals, nine clinics, emergency management from five counties, the Colville Nation, the Wenatchee police department, the Washington State Patrol, LINK and the Red Cross) to complete this exercise.

Volunteers Needed

The WVC Allied Health department is seeking volunteers to participate in this emergency exercise. Volunteers will be role playing a patient needing medical attention. No experience is necessary.

Volunteers must arrive by 8:30 a.m. to receive directions. The drill will be completed by 2 or 3 p.m. They will receive a free lunch and a certificate of participation at the end of the drill.
