Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band and Bink Picard to perform in Omak on Nov. 13

Horse Crazy Cowgirl Band, a western musical trio from the Methow Valley, will perform at the Omak Performing Arts Center on Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. Sponsored by the Wenatchee Valley College at Omak Associated Students, admission is free to WVC students with a current WVC identification card and $5 for the general public.

Horse Crazy, a dynamic western musical trio from the Methow Valley, is known for sizzling harmonies and good humor. Nominated by the Western Music Association for Western Swing Group of the Year, the band just released its newest recording, “Daughters of the West.”   

Emele Clothier, Lauralee Northcott and Jennifer Epps are Horse Crazy. Career musicians and authentic western cowgirls, all three make their homes in rural Washington state. Clothier, who manages a ranch, plays swing guitar and stokes the fire with harmonica, banjo and vocals. Northcott contributes to the trio with her voice and bass guitar, and rides in the mountains as wilderness guide and pack guide in the summer. Epps adds distinctive harmonies coupled with rhythmic nuance and can be found yodeling up the canyons while chasing cows on her famous cowpony, Whiskey.

Bink Picard will open for Horse Crazy Cowgirls Band. Picard, an Omak entertainer and owner of the Canvas Cowboy Gallery and Grill, describes his act as an eclectic cowboy cornucopia, including guitarist, cowboy poet and storyteller.
