About Lisa Turner
Lisa Turner joined WVC as the interim executive director of Human Resources in 2024. She has spent her career working in Human Resources. She served as HR manager at Dolco Packaging, a local non-union manufacturing company, for 16 years. She was responsible for all HR functions and traveled across the U.S. to other Dolco facilities to conduct supervisor training and leadership development.
In 2007, Turner served as the HR director for classified staff at Wenatchee School District. She was promoted to executive director of HR in 2010 and served on the superintendent’s cabinet. In this role, she was responsible for employee development, risk mitigation, supervisor training, onboarding, legal affairs, collective bargaining, employee safety, wellness, and employee recognition. She served the Wenatchee School District for 12 years.
She has also been a small business owner for the last 12 years. She was a founding owner of Turner Restoration and is the current co-owner of Community Glass. She left the school district in 2019 and has worked full-time at her local business.
Turner was a charter member of the local Human Resource Association and served on their board of directors for six years. She also served as the treasurer of the Washington State Personnel Association’s Board of Directors for three years. She is in her fourth year serving on the Numerica Performing Arts Center Board of Directors.
Turner attended San Diego State University and, after relocating to Wenatchee 32 years ago, earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration with an emphasis on Human Resources from Central Washington University. She also holds a PHR certification in Human Resources with the Society of Human Resource Management.
