How to Apply

  1. Review eligibility criteria for membership in MESA. If you:
    1. Do not have a previous bachelor’s degree.

    2. Are enrolled in, or have previously completed MATH 98 (Elementary Algebra).

    3. Plan to ultimately complete a four-year degree in a STEM field.

    4. Part of a historically underrepresented group, a first-generation college student, and/or at an economic disadvantage. Underrepresented groups include African American, Latino, Native American/Alaska Native, Pacific Islander, and female identified persons.

    5. You can apply if you are a US citizen, a permanent resident, DACAmented, or a DREAMer. Running Start and high school completion students are welcome to apply.

  2. Review the student contract (PDF) to ensure you can commit the necessary time and effort needed to be successful in MESA. 
  3. Download the MESA Community College Program (MCCP) Application and fill in all required information electronically. Submit the application via email to Note: handwritten applications will not be accepted. If you have any questions about how to fill out the application don't hesitate to contact us.
  4. Once the application is emailed you will receive a message from the MESA Program Director or Retention Coordinator within two weeks to schedule an appointment for an intake interview.
